Instructor: Chris Mercado
This six-hour course will allow participants to think inside-the-box and be more resourceful through the Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) methodology as created by Drew Boyd and Dr. Jacob Goldenberg and inspired by how this is taught in one of the best schools in the world, Columbia Business School. By understanding how to break fixedness and work within constraints, students will be able to create new and innovative menu items that can spice up their shop offerings and attract more interested customers through thinking tools designed from innovative patterns that can be found throughout human history.
Chris Mercado is a 20-year marketing and management professional, having worked in a wide range of industries such as insurance, telecommunications, advertising and even cockfighting. As an independent consultant in the past 2 years, through his group, Futures Learning Innovators of the Philippines (FLIP), he has been helping out various SMEs in their digital and marketing strategy needs, as well as helping top LGUs in the Philippines streamline their business permit processes. Having recently completed his post-graduate diploma from top Ivy League universities, Chris is eager to spread the word of innovation and design thinking for a more creative country and world.
