​The Barista & Coffee Academy of Asia is a professional coffee education institution and an SCA Premier Training Campus in the Philippines, delivering internationally recognized specialty coffee training aligned with global standards.

BCAA is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), the global authority that sets and advances standards for the specialty coffee industry worldwide. Through this certification, BCAA operates three SCA Premier Training Campuses in Manila, Davao, and Iloilo, making it one of the most established SCA campus networks in the country and in Southeast Asia.

Achieving SCA Premier Training Campus status is a prestigious designation that requires meeting strict standards of educational excellence, facilities, equipment, and instructional quality.
BCAA works closely with Authorized SCA Trainers (ASTs) to deliver consistent, high-quality coffee education across all campuses. Wherever you are in the Philippines, BCAA provides access to globally aligned specialty coffee training, backed by Southeast Asia-level expertise and reach.
BCAA is also an In-Country Partner (ICP) of the Coffee Quality Institute(CQI) in the Philippines.
In-Country Partners are official ambassadors of CQI and play a critical role in delivering and upholding CQI programs at the national level. ICPs serve as local hubs for the Q Coffee System, the global standard for evaluating coffee quality using industry-recognized protocols for both Arabica (specialty) and Robusta (fine).

The integrity of the Q Coffee System is maintained through ICPs’ strict adherence to CQI standards and protocols, requiring strong technical knowledge of CQI programs. ICPs also support regional initiatives by hosting and promoting Q Grader and Q Processing courses, helping improve coffee quality and strengthen the industry.
Through this role, BCAA supports CQI’s mission to elevate coffee quality and positively impact the lives of those who produce it.
